About tammie Horton

Lived Experience Expert. Mental Health & Resilience Practitioner. Corporate Trainer. Keynote Speaker.

Tammie Horton doesn’t just teach resilience — she has lived it.

With over a decade of experience delivering mental health and resilience training across corporate, government, and community sectors, Tammie brings something most consultants can’t: the credibility of someone who has genuinely been there. Her work is grounded in her own lived experience of domestic abuse and coercive control, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, and the weight of being a sole-income earner raising three children. That experience isn’t her backstory — it’s her methodology.

Today, Tammie is one of Australia’s most qualified practitioners at the intersection of workplace resilience, mental health training, and psychological safety. She works with organisations who are serious about building cultures where people don’t just cope — they grow.

What Tammie Brings to Your Organisation

Tammie is a certified Resilient Workplace Partner through Hello Driven, delivering the PR6 Resilience Assessment — one of the most robust, evidence-based resilience measurement tools available to Australian workplaces. As a Principal Master Instructor of Mental Health First Aid, she has trained hundreds of people across multiple industries throughout Australia. She is also a certified Resilience First Aid Instructor, High Adversity Resilience Training (HART) facilitator, and an Accredited Motivational Maps Practitioner.

What sets Tammie apart is her ability to translate complex psychological frameworks into training that lands — not just in the room on the day, but in the way people think, lead, and show up at work long after the session ends.

Keynote Speaker

Tammie is a sought-after keynote speaker who has taken the stage at events including the Australasian and World Business Continuity Institute Summits, the Rural and Regional Mental Health Symposium, the inaugural Sydney HerStory Conference, and TENx at the Speakers Tribe Global Conference.

Her keynotes draw on lived experience, current research, and hard-won wisdom to shift perspectives and activate audiences. She speaks on the topics of functional suffering, peer support, and lived experience — delivering sessions that are as unflinching as they are practical.
